President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow, May 18, 2020, address the nation. The national broadcast is expected to look into compliance of Nigerians to guidelines on partial ease of lock down issued two weeks ago following the COVI-19 pandemic.
Sani Aliyu, the national coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, made this known on a Channels Television programme, Sunday Politics, where he confirmed that the PTF had forwarded their report on development since the last presidential address to the president.
The president had before now addressed the nation on COVID-19 measures on three previous occasions.
The broadcast, it is expected, would look at the next phase of the lock down resulting from the coronavirus pandemic that has seen almost all countries of the world locked down for weeks as a way of curtailing the spread of the disease.
It is reported that the deadly virus has so far claimed the lives of over 300, 000 people, globally.
