Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has won the Best International Act Award 2018 BET Awards.
The glamorous event held at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, United States, on Sunday, June 25, 2018.
Davido was nominated alongside another Nigeria act, Tiwa Savage, as well as Booba of France; Cassper Nyovest (South Africa); Dadju (France).
Other nominees in the category include Distruction Boyz (South Africa); Fally Ipupa (DR Congo); J Hus (UK), Niska (France); Stefflon Don (UK) and Stormzy , also from the UK.
Davido who was also recently crowned Artist of the Year at the Headies 2018, had also won the BET award in 2014.
As a is a millennial afrobeat artist doing it all the way up, Davido was born in Atlanta and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a singer/songwriter, producer and owner and is making major moves in the afrobeat music scene both on the African continent and in the States.
His official breakthrough into the music scene was in 2011 with his hit debut single "Back When" featuring Naeto C.
In 2014 David won the same awrd, beating Diamond Platnumz, Mafikizolo, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage and Toofan.
