Vice president Yemi Osinbajo says the Federal Government is committing the sum of 500 billion naira to wealth creation and poverty alleviation through the National Social Investment Programmes initiative, the largest of its kind in the history of the country.
Osinbajo said the N500 billion covered conditional cash transfer to one million of the poorest in the country and government was working with the World Bank for special coverage, to determine the one million beneficiaries.

Prof. Sarah Agbor, the Commissioner, Department of Human Resources, Science and Technology, African Union Commission, made the appeal at a Capacity Building workshop for All Member States on the process involved in accessing the fund.
Agbor said the Green Climate Fund aimed to promote a paradigm shift towards low emission and climate resilient pathways in developing countries to limit or reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to the impact of climate change.
