Gov Ganduje |
The presiding judge, Ahmed Tijjani on Monday, asked both sides to maintain status quo pending the hearing before the court, which was adjourned till November 21.
The development, according to a Channels Television report, comes about a week after a group known as Lawyers for Sustainable Democracy in Nigeria, filed a petition before the court challenging the legality of the committee.
Both the legislature and the executive have agreed to take no further actions as directed by the court.
Governor Ganduje is facing the state assembly’s investigation following the release of a video allegedly showing him collecting kickbacks from contractors.
