A petrol tanker Friday, exploded at Forte Oil filling station located very close to the local airport in Lagos State.
Sources from the airport which confirmed the incident to Channels Television, said the explosion occurred when the tanker was discharging its contents and resulted in a massive blaze at the facility.
According to Channels Television report, officials of the fire services moved in to contain the inferno, although it was ascertained at the time if there are casualties as a result of the incident.
The report noted that the airport, just across the road, was not affected by the fire incident which caused a gridlock in the Ikeja axis of the state.
