A Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, on Friday, ordered the release of the dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, from detention, in Awe, a remote village Nasarawa State, where he was banished to following his dethronement on Monday.
This is against the background of revelations by his lawyers earlier on that the deposed Emir had preferred to spend his life in exile in Lagos State.
