The United States Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria has cancelled its routine nonimmigrant visa appointments. This development means that all those already scheduled for appointments, have such appointments cancelled.
The embassy in a email to applicants already scheduled for interview said it will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but is however unable to provide a specific date at this time.
It further added that the MRV fee remains valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.
The email however asked those that may have urgent matters and need to travel immediately to follow a guidance at a web address provided to request for an emergency appointment.
