Despite curfew blood flows in Kaduna as gunmen kill 11


Unidentified gunmen, suspected to be bandits and herdsmen invaded three communities in Kaduna State and killed 11 people, including a traditional ruler for two consecutive days.

The attackers defied the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state governor, Nasir el-Rufai, to stem further spread of the deadly Covid-19 plague in the state

The Public Relations Officer, Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), Mr. Luka Binniyat, in a statement, on Tuesday, identified the attacked communities as Guruku ward, Kuduru village both in Chikun Local Government Area and Jagindi, in Jema’a Local LGA.

According to him, bandits on Tuesday afternoon killed six people in Guruku ward, while the District Head of Jagidi, Jama’a LGA, Mr. Danlami Barde, and his brother, Musa Barde, were among those killed on Monday when suspected herdsmen attacked the community.
