The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has extended the ban on all flight operations in the country by another four weeks.
Chairman of the Task Force, who is also Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, made this known at the daily briefing of the task force, today, May 6, 2020, in Abuja.
Minister of Aviation, Sirika Hadi, also reiterated the development when in his speech on the occasion, he reminded that the sector being a safety one, will need even more time than others to get back to its feet even after lockdown.
Hadi said that as the most hard hit, economic wise, following the pandemic, the aviation sector will be needing more time to pick up the pieces and put the necessary safety guidelines in place before operations can gradually resume.
