Nengi Rebecca Hampson has reacted after being removed as Face of Bayelsa Girl Child.
In a tweet, on Tuesday, January 12, the Big Brother Naija housemate accepted her fate and congratulated Ebizi Blessing Eradiri, who replaced her as the face of Bayelsa Girl Child.
“Congratulations to Barr. Ebizi Eradiri. It’s amazing how you were able to pull that thru! Special thanks to my Governor for also finding her worthy for the honour. It is without doubt that we will both work together to see how we can front for a better welfare for the Girl child,” she tweeted.
Eradiri’s appointment was coming after graduating with a first class in law at the state’s owned university and the Nigeria Law School.
Nengi’s tweet came barely 24 hours after the Bayelsa state governor, Duoye Diri, appointed Eradiri as the new face of the Bayelsa Girl Child.
It would be recalled that Nengi was appointed the same position back in November 2020.
The governor however announced the appointment of Eradiri as the New Face of Bayelsa on Monday, January 11, 2021.
No reason was given for the new change but it may not be unconnected to the criticism drawn by the appointment of Nengi.
The reality TV star, it would be recalled, was appointed as a special assistant to the governor back in November following her participation in the fifth season of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show.
Nengi, however, remains a special assistant to the Bayelsa state governor.
