Third Mainland Bridge: Police move to stop students' protest

The Lagos State Police Command Wednesday, September 21, 2022, deployed personnel to prevent the National Association of Nigerian Students from blocking the Third Mainland Bridge in protest against the prolonged strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The command's Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, shared photos from the Third Mainland Bridge, noting that policemen were on the ground to ensure that people's right to freedom was not violated.

Recall however that the National Industrial Court later in the day, ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), to call off the ongoing Strike.
