The Flamingos of Nigeria have finally won the 3rd place match against Germany. They defeated their opponent 3:2 on penalties.
The Flamingos, as we earlier reported, were leading 3:0 at 65 minutes of play, but the hard fighting Germans cancelled and neautralised the Nigerian lead by full time. The match ended 3:3 at full time and had to be decide on penalties.
As luck would have it, the God of soccer apparently favoured the Nigerian girls, who won 3:2 on penalties.
This would be the first time any Nigerian side will achieve such feat in a FIFA World Cup.
