Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s bid for a second term in office got a boost, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 as his Rivers State counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike, reportedly endorsed the ambition.
Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, was said to have made this known in a terse statement on Tuesday.
“Breaking: Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike endorses Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for second term in office. Details later,” Akosile wrote, according to a report of the Punch Newspapers
The endorsement comes despite Wike’s party, the Peoples Democratic Party, having a governorship candidate in Lagos, in the person of Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.
