Nollywood actress and former reality TV Star, Erica Nlewedim has opened up on why she is not in a hurry to get married.
The actress on her Twitter page made this known while responding to a fan, who asked her to consider getting married .
The fan wrote, “Try deh think of husband naa.”
Reacting to the tweet, Erica explained that marriage is favorable to men because they don’t really have to change much about their lives, but it’s different for women.
She wrote, “Why rush? I have the rest of my life to be married. It’s favorable to the men cos they don’t really have to change much about their lives, but a lot about the woman changes.”
An On Air Personality, Vien OO7, also quoted Erica’s tweet, adding that, “Women don’t realize we are a living sacrifice to humanity until you put a ring on it. A man can go on with his life, zero body changes, but us, every single thing changes, even our career and friends and body and etc! So, ladies, when you say yes, please stop .”
The reality TV star responded by writing, “Friends don’t have to change but the rest of it, it also slows down the career for the first few years of pregnancy and raising toddlers, but usually it’s not the case for the men. It’s a great thing, but one has to be fully ready.”
