Three weeks after a similar incident, fire, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, razed down parts of the second market in the metropolis, Gamboru Market, in Borno State.
This, according to a report of The Punch, was coming exactly three weeks after a fire completely razed the largest market in the state, Monday Market, also located in the metropolis.
It was gathered that the fire flared up at the cooking oil section of the market by 2:30 pm.
Security agents, most of them soldiers, are reported to have been deployed to the scene, chasing away a massive influx of people and depriving everyone of entry.
According to the report, an eye witness speaking on the phone, said the fire broke out from the timber and orange sellers sections.
