INEC chairman meets with party leaders ahead of Kogi, Imo, Bayelsa polls

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, held a meeting with the chairmen of political parties at the commission's headquarters in Abuja. 

The meeting was part of the stakeholders' engagement scheduled by INEC ahead of the three off-cycle governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states

During the meeting, Yakubu briefed the chairmen of political parties about the preparations for the upcoming elections

The INEC chairman also used the opportunity to engage with the political parties and discuss ways to ensure free, fair, and credible elections in the states

The meeting was significant as it provided a platform for the INEC chairman to interact with the political parties and address any concerns they may have had ahead of the elections.
