| The late Kokori |
Former General Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Chief Frank Kokori, has passed away at the age of 80.
He died on the day he was supposed to mark his 80th birthday, reportedly from a kidney-related ailment. This was in the early hours of Thursday, December 7, 2023, at a private hospital in Warri, Delta State.
His death was confirmed by the Delta State Government.
Kokori was known for his activism with the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) and his involvement in the struggle for the validation of the annulled June 12, 1993, presidential election.
