Osimhen credits Amunike for his success in winning the 2023 Africa Men's Player of the Year award

Victor Osimhen, the 2023 Africa Men's Player of the Year, has expressed his gratitude to Emmanuel Amunike, a Nigerian legend who coached him during his time as a U-17 player. 

Osimhen credits Amunike for playing a pivotal role in shaping his career and helping him achieve success in the world of football.

He said, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. First of all, I want to say thank you God for everything. Special thanks goes to Emmanuel Amunike. Without him, I don't think I would be standing in front of you guys holding one of the most prestigious awards in world football. It’s a dream come true for me.”
