Nigeria's talismanic forward, Victor Osimhen, has been given the green light by the team's doctors to join the squad in Bouaké and is available for selection in the Africa Cup of Nations semifinal against South Africa on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
The Super Eagles confirmed that Osimhen has recovered from an abdominal discomfort and has trained with the team, providing a significant boost to their attacking prowess.
This news comes after initial concerns about Osimhen's fitness, with the striker being in a race to prove his readiness for the crucial last-four clash.
It would be recalled that Osimhen missed the Super Eagles trip to Bouake – the venue of the semi-final clash with South Africa – after suffering abdominal discomfort.
It was said that the Napoli striker will be examined on Tuesday morning, and if cleared, will join the rest of the squad who have arrived safely in Bouake.
All of that is now history as Osimhen reportedly joined the team in training today in Bouake.
