Nollywood actress Ethel Aderemi, popularly known for her role as Segi in the sitcom 'Basi and Company', has passed away in Lagos after battling cancer.
The news was confirmed by Dr Shaibu Husseini, the Director General of the National Film and Video Censors Board, in a Facebook post on February 7, 2024.
Ethel was a veteran actress who starred in several popular movies including 'Heartbeat', 'Speak the Word', and 'Traumatised'.
She was also a pastor. Ethel's death is a great loss to the Nigerian film industry and she will be missed by many.
