Tinubu arrives Lagos for Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, received by Sanwo-Olu

President Tinubu revived in Lagos by Gov Sanwo-Olu

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Lagos State on Sunday, April 7, 2024, ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, which mark the end of Ramadan.

The President, who was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to observe the moment in prayers for Nigeria and with family, as he continues his official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr holidays.

The President's Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, shared videos on his X handle, confirming the President's arrival in Lagos.

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, allowing Nigerians to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan with their loved ones.

The Eid-el-Fitr celebrations are an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on their spiritual journey during the holy month and to celebrate with family, friends, and the wider community.

Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale had in a statement on Saturday said “the President will observe the moment in prayers for Nigeria and with family”.

“The President will continue official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr holidays.”

Ngelale, however, did not specify the date of the President's return to Abuja.
