Nigeria's Golden Eaglets have secured their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU B U17 Championship in Ghana after a convincing 3-0 victory over Togo's Baby Sparrow Hawks. The win has propelled the Eaglets to the top of Group B, setting up a thrilling clash with Cote d'Ivoire's Baby Elephants in the last four.
The match, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, had to be postponed to Thursday morning due to a waterlogged venue caused by heavy rainfall.
However, the delay did not deter the Eaglets, who put on an impressive display to secure the victory.
Abdulmuiz Adeleke was the standout performer for Nigeria, netting a brace to help his side secure the win. Rapha Adams, who had scored the winning goal against Niger Republic in the previous match, also found the back of the net for the Eaglets.
Captain Simon Cletus played a crucial role in the victory, providing assists for two of Nigeria's goals. His leadership and creativity were instrumental in the Eaglets' success.
