President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, October 2, 2024, departed Abuja for the United Kingdom, to commence a two-week annual leave.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, this period will serve as a working vacation where Tinubu intends to reflect on his administration's economic reforms.
In a three-paragraph state, Onanuga said Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria upon the conclusion of his leave.
This trip follows recent scrutiny over the costs associated with his frequent international travels, raising concerns about fiscal responsibility amid Nigeria's economic challenges.
