Anas Bamusa takes charge as new general manager of Gombe United FC

A new management team for Gombe United Football Club has been established, led by sports enthusiast Malam Anas Bamusa, following approval from Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya. 

The announcement was made by Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, on October 17, 2024. 

Mr. Ishaya Usman will serve as Team Manager, while Comrade Abubakar M. Maina takes on the role of Secretary. This leadership change aims to enhance the club's performance and improve sports management in the state, with an emphasis on innovative ideas and collaboration with stakeholders to support government objectives in sports.

Anas, a versatile football analyst and commentator is expected to bring his vast knowledge in football administration to bare in repositioning the State's darling team recently relegated to the NNL back to Nigeria's elite football league. 

Already, an elated Bamusa, has penned down a thank you message to the governor for the honour to serve the State in the new capacity and declaring readiness to hit the ground rolling.

He said, the appointment is coming with responsibility which he promised not to take lightly. "I am fully aware of the challenges ahead, but I look forward to working tirelessly to contribute to the club's success and to elevate Gombe United to new heights. 

"My goal is to foster a culture of excellence that will resonate with our players, coaching staff, and fans alike", Malam Anas assured.

He also stated that the continuous and unwavering support from the supporters of the club will be crucial. "As we embark on this journey together, I promise to invest my heart and soul into this role to ensure we achieve our aspirations.

"As I take on this new challenge, I am reminded of the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication. With the backing of the Governor, the club's management, and our beloved fans, I am confident that we will forge a path of success that reflects the spirit of Gombe State", Malam Anas assured.
