Libya's AFCON aspirations crumble after Rwanda's victory

Libya's hopes of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have dimmed significantly following Rwanda's 2-1 win over Benin on Tuesday.

This defeat leaves Libya firmly at the bottom of their group, while Nigeria leads with seven points, followed by Benin with six and Rwanda with five.

Rwanda's goals from Innocent Nshuti and Djihad Bizimana within two minutes turned the match in their favor at Amahoro Stadium on October 15, further complicating Libya's path to the tournament.
