Nigeria’s power crisis deepens as national grid collapses for the third time this week!

Nigerians are facing yet another blackout as the national power grid collapses for the third time in just one week.

This latest failure occurred early Saturday morning, plunging many states into darkness and exacerbating frustrations for businesses and households reliant on an already unstable electricity supply, and if course unstable economy also.

Data from the Nigerian System Operator indicated a shocking zero Megawatts (MW) at 8:16 am, with all 22 generation companies offline, according to reports.

This incident marks the eighth grid disturbance in 2024, highlighting ongoing challenges in Nigeria's power sector.

Despite the widespread impact, the Transmission Company of Nigeria has not provided details on the cause or recovery timeline, leaving citizens in uncertainty.
