NNPC Limited announces strategic leadership appointments to drive operational excellence

NNPC Limited has announced significant leadership changes aimed at enhancing corporate governance and operational efficiency. 

Mr. Adedapo A. Segun has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Umar Ajiya, after his impactful tenure as Executive Vice President of Downstream operations. 

Additionally, Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi takes on the role of Executive Vice President for Downstream, while Mr. Udobong Ntia becomes Executive Vice President for Upstream. 

The Board also expressed gratitude to the outgoing leaders and emphasized its commitment to advancing Nigeria's energy sector through these strategic appointments. 

A press statement issued to the effect by the corporation and signed by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, says the appointments align with NNPC Limited’s commitment to building a unified and competent leadership team to drive operational excellence and support the organization’s strategic objectives.

The statement reads in part: “The Board and Management also extend their deepest appreciation to Mr. Umar Ajiya and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan for their outstanding dedication and service to NNPC Limited.

“NNPC Limited remains committed to achieving operational excellence, enhancing global competitiveness, and ensuring financial sustainability, while prioritizing the interests of the Nigerian public in the petroleum industry.”
