The death toll from the Jeju Air plane crash at Muan International Airport, South Korea, has risen to 122, with only two survivors, according to the South Jeolla Fire Service, CNN has reported.
The victims include 54 men, 57 women, and 11 whose genders remain unidentified.
The aircraft, carrying 175 passengers and six crew members from Bangkok, veered off the runway during landing on Sunday morning, December 29, 2024, colliding with a wall and erupting into flames.
The two survivors are crew members, one male and one female.
According to reports, authorities suspect a bird strike and landing gear malfunction, exacerbated by adverse weather conditions, as potential causes of the crash.
