Originally from New Zealand, Isichei married Peter Isichei from Asaba, Delta State, which inspired her extensive research into Igbo history. 

Her contributions have significantly enriched the understanding of Igbo culture and history. 

At the event, her eldest son delivered the vote of thanks in impeccable Igbo, highlighting the deep connection and appreciation the family holds for their heritage, as displayed in the accompanying video.
