NIMC DG honored with prestigious doctorate for transformative leadership

Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja. 

The recognition was conferred during the university’s 10th Convocation Ceremony on January 14, 2025.

The award celebrates her remarkable contributions to nation-building, particularly her leadership in revolutionizing identity management in Nigeria. 

According to a press release to the effect by Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head, Corporate Communications Unit, Coker-Odusote “has transformed the identity management space of the country within a short time of her assumption as the DG/CEO of NIMC.”

In her acceptance speech, Coker-Odusote expressed gratitude to AUST and reaffirmed her commitment to driving impactful development initiatives across the country.
