Akpabio’s wife denounces Natasha’s sexual harassment claims as fabrications, threatens legal action

Mrs Ekaette Uloma Akpabio,

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, claiming that her troubles in the Senate began after she rejected his advances.

Akpoti-Uduaghan made the allegation on Arise TV’s The Morning Show, Friday, February 28, 2025.

In a swift response however, Ekaette Uloma Akpabio, the wife of the Senate President, has vehemently denied these allegations, describing them as baseless and fabricated.

Mrs. Akpabio, while speaking to journalists on Friday, highlighted the long-standing cordial relationship between their families and praised her husband’s discipline and respect for women.

She also threatened to seek legal redress over the matter. Akpabio himself has denied the allegations through his media consultant

She stated that she was present at their residence on the alleged date, December 8, 2023, emphasising that the two families have shared a long-standing bond that predates Akpoti-Uduaghan’s marriage.

She said, “The allegations are unfounded, as she was present at her family residence on the alleged date 8th December, 2023.

“Both families enjoy a long-standing cordial relationship that predates Senator Natasha’s marriage to her husband.”

Mrs Akpabio praised her husband’s commitment to women’s inclusion in governance and insisted that he has always upheld respect for women.

Calling for an end to false accusations, she vowed to seek legal redress over the matter.
