BREAKING: Zelenskyy extends olive branch after fiery Oval Office clash, thanks America for support

In a surprising turn of events, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed gratitude to the United States for its ongoing support following a tense meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.

The encounter ended abruptly after a heated argument, with Trump accusing Zelenskyy of disrespecting the U.S. and ordering him to leave the premises.

Zelenskyy took to social media platform X to thank America, President Trump, Congress, and the American people for their support. He emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to achieving “just and lasting peace”.

This gesture comes after Trump criticized Zelenskyy for not showing enough appreciation for U.S. aid and for his stance on peace negotiations with Russia.

The meeting was intended to finalize a critical minerals deal, which collapsed due to disagreements over Ukraine’s involvement in U.S.-Russia talks and security guarantees.

Despite the tensions, Zelenskyy’s message signals a continued reliance on U.S. support in the ongoing conflict with Russia.
