Margaret Johnson, a centenarian from Denver, Colorado, is proving that age is just a number as she continues to chase her dreams and inspire others. Johnson didn’t begin running until she was 70 years old.
At the National Senior Games, Johnson set new records in the 50-meter and 100-meter dashes for the 95-100 age group, with times of 14.46 seconds and 40.12 seconds, respectively.
The 2023 National Senior Games, where Margaret Johnson set her records, took place in Pittsburgh and throughout Western Pennsylvania from July 7-18. The main hub of activity was the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh
Johnson emphasizes that “Age is not a barrier; it’s a number” and wants to show people that great things can still be achieved regardless of age
