Tiger Woods’ mother, Kultida Woods, dies at 78

Kultida Woods, the mother of golf professional Tiger Woods, has died at the age of 78 . Tiger Woods announced the news on his social media accounts on Tuesday, expressing his “heartfelt sadness.”

Woods described his mother as “a force of nature,” and credited her as his “biggest fan” and “greatest supporter,” stating that none of his personal achievements would have been possible without her. He also mentioned she was loved by many, especially her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie.

Kultida, who was Thai-born and had lived in the United States for over four decades, recently attended her son’s TGL match in South Florida.

In June, when receiving the Bob Jones Award, Woods paid tribute to his mother, acknowledging her constant presence and support through his life.

President Donald Trump offered his condolences to Woods, acknowledging Kultida’s significant influence on Tiger’s strength and brilliance.
