Abisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the late former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has tragically passed away at the age of 42.
She died on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the United Kingdom after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
Abisola, fondly known as Abi-KD, was a prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist. She was the founder of Florence H Luxury, a high-end fashion boutique, and served as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Limited.
Her contributions to business and public service were widely recognized, including her role as Special Adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.

Her death has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, particularly her mother, Florence Ajimobi, who had already endured the loss of her husband in 2020.
Former Oyo State Senator Teslim Folarin paid tribute to her on Facebook, highlighting her resilience and impact.
Folarin extended his condolences to the Ajimobi family. He also described her death as an “unfillable void” while sharing his “personal experience of knowing Bisola”.
“I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi (Nee Ajimobi), the beloved daughter of my cousin, the late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, and former first lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency (Dr.) Florence Ajimobi. Bisola’s untimely death has left an unfillable void in our hearts, and I can only imagine the pain of a parent burying their child,” he wrote.
“As someone who had the privilege of knowing Bisola as a dear family member – she was like a daughter to me – her passing has left me with a profound sense of personal loss.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Ajimobi family, particularly former First Lady, H.E Florence Ajimobi. May God grant us the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
Abisola was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi in 2010, and they had three children together. Her legacy as a devoted mother, business leader, and advocate for service will be remembered by many.
