Veteran Nollywood actress andpolitician, Hilda Dokubo, has strongly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.

On March 18, 2025, Tinubu announced a six-month suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the state’s House of Assembly, citing political unrest and security concerns.

Taking a hot swipe at the president’s recent move against the state, she wrote via her instagram page: “Shameless. Now we know who the real enemy is.”

Dokubo accused Tinubu of ulterior motives, suggesting the move is an attempt to “capture the economic soul of Rivers State.”

Her comments have ignited widespread reactions online, with many questioning the necessity and legality of the declaration.
