In a decisive match at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured a vital 2-0 victory over hosts Rwanda in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Victor Osimhen, the star striker, scored a first-half brace, netting his first goal in the 11th minute and sealing the half with another strike just before halftime.
Rwanda, especially in the second half of the match did everything to pull back at least one goal but were denied by a slightly new look Eagles under the technical supervision of a new coach, Eric Chelle.
