New Era: NNPC Ltd welcomes new GCEO, Board


The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has welcomed Bayo Ojulari as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and a reconstituted Board of Directors, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent appointments. 

The NNPC management, in a press release signed by Olufemi O. Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., expressed deep gratitude to outgoing GCEO Mele Kyari and former board members for their dedicated service. 

Kyari’s leadership has left a lasting impact on the company, and his contributions are highly appreciated. The company wishes him and the departing board members continued success in their future endeavors.

“Mr. Kyari’s leadership and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on NNPC Ltd., and we are sincerely grateful for his outstanding contributions,” the statement reads, adding, “We wish him and all departing Board Members continued success and fulfillment in their future endeavours.”

This change, according to a statement from the Presidency, April 2, 3025, is part of President Tinubu’s broader strategy to reposition NNPC Ltd for greater productivity and alignment with global best practices, marking a new chapter in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
