Petralon Energy, through its subsidiary Petralon 54 Limited, has commenced drilling a second well at the Dawes-Island Field in Rivers State, aiming to add 2,500 barrels per day to Nigeria’s crude oil output. 

The initiative follows the arrival of the OES Teamwork rig, marking a significant step in consolidating Petralon’s role as a leading indigenous operator in Nigeria’s upstream sector.

At the drilling site, key executives were present, including Uduak Equere, Executive Director of Petralon 54; Ahonsi Unuigbe, Founder and CEO of Petralon Energy; Valentine Iheasirim, MD/CEO of 4mation Drilling/OES Energy Services; and Nnamdi Nzute, Project Director at 4mation Drilling. 

Their presence underscores the collaborative effort behind the project, which is expected to enhance value for stakeholders and contribute to Nigeria’s energy security.

Ahonsi Unuigbe highlighted the company’s commitment to meticulous planning and value creation for shareholders, investors, host communities, and regulators. Petralon’s expanded activities at Dawes-Island reinforce its ambition to drive socio-economic progress in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
