The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards, spotlighting top talents in women’s football.
From the list published on Friday, 10 players and teams are in contention across several categories, including African Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, National Team of the Year, Club of the Year, and Young Player of the Year.
Among the contenders for African Player of the Year are Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo. They join reigning African best player Barbara Banda along with other stars such as Portia Boakye, Tabitha Chawinga, Ghizlane Chebbak, Mama Diop, Sanaa Mssoudy, Temwa Chawinga, and Rachael Kundananaji.
