[PHOTOS]: N50 million boost energizes Super Falcons ahead of AFCON clash in Ogun today

On Tuesday, October 28, the Nigerian Super Falcons received a major morale boost ahead of their Women AFCON Qualifier against the Republic of Benin. 

Led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade OON, the team paid a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun at Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta.

In a display of strong support, Governor Abiodun announced a generous N50 million donation to the Falcons, aimed at motivating the players and technical crew. 

This financial boost underscores the state’s commitment to the team’s success and the broader development of women’s football in Nigeria.

The Super Falcons, having secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Benin in Lome, Togo, are favorites to replicate their winning form on home soil. The team is now focused on turning this support into a dominant performance against their West African rivals.

With Governor Abiodun’s backing and the fans’ hopes high, all eyes will be on Abeokuta today as the Super Falcons aim to advance confidently towards AFCON glory.
