President Bola Tinubu has commanded urgent efforts to rescue 25 female students abducted from Government Girls Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State.
The school was attacked by gunmen on Monday morning, November 17, 2025, resulting in the kidnapping of the girls.
Kebbi Police spokesperson Nafi’u Kotarkoshi confirmed the tragic death of Hassan Makuku, the school’s vice principal, during the raid. Additionally, security guard Ali Shehu was shot in the right hand and is receiving treatment.
Minister of Information Mohammed Idris announced the president’s directive, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to the safe recovery of the students.
