Just In: Ex-CDS Musa steps back into the spotlight with Tinubu meet at Aso Villa

Former Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa made a high-profile visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday evening, December 1, 2025.

Arriving at precisely 7:03 p.m., Musa, reportedly, was escorted directly to the President’s office by a senior security officer.

This development marks Musa’s first public meeting with Tinubu since his dismissal on October 24, 2025.

Clad in traditional dark-green northern attire, the former military leader’s visit comes amid growing security challenges in Nigeria’s northern regions. Recent incidents include the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi, attacks on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara, and the kidnapping of Catholic pupils in Minna.

These events have spurred intensified counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping efforts in the North-West and North-Central zones.

The specific agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, leaving room for speculation about possible security strategy discussions.
