[PHOTOS] NCC’s new Board gears ip in Uyo retreat for digital economy surge

The freshly appointed Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) kicked off its tenure with a dynamic induction retreat in Uyo, chaired by Chief Idris Olorunnimbe.

Board members dove deep into management’s strategic priorities, reinforcing the NCC’s pivotal role in fueling Nigeria’s booming digital economy.

Top experts guided the sessions. Mrs. Yetunde Akinloye dissected the Nigerian Communications Act (2003), while Paul Usoro, SAN, offered insights on strong board governance for a national telecom regulator.

Professor Hyacinth Nwana provided a global perspective on regulation’s future, and Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, OFR, SAN, emphasized essential corporate governance principles.

In a social media post, the NCC described the discussions as rigorous and frank, centering on robust governance, regulatory trust, and delivering real results for consumers, the industry, and Nigeria’s digital growth.
