Morocco stuns Nigeria in penalties to face Senegal in epic AFCON 2025 final!

Morocco punched their ticket to a third Africa Cup of Nations final with a thrilling 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Nigeria at Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat on Wednesday night, January 14, 2026.

The two sides battled to a deadlock after 120 grueling minutes of extra time, forcing the drama to spot-kicks where Morocco’s composure shone through.

This sets up a blockbuster showdown with Senegal on Sunday at the same Rabat venue.

The day before, Nigeria and Egypt will clash for third place at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, capping off an electrifying tournament.
