Tyla Shocks Again: Crushes Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage at 2026 NAACP Image Awards

Tyla

South African sensation Tyla is on an unstoppable tear, snatching the “Outstanding International Song” trophy at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards and leaving Nigeria’s Afrobeats giants in the dust.

The glittering ceremony, hosted by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), honors trailblazing achievements by artists of color in music, film, TV, and literature.

Tyla triumphed over a star-studded field, including Burna Boy (“Love”), Davido and Omah Lay’s collab “With You,” Tiwa Savage’s “You4Me,” and Jamaican act Skip Marley’s “In Our Sight.”

This NAACP win caps a red-hot streak for Tyla. Just weeks earlier, she dominated the 2026 Grammys with “Best African Music Performance,” beating back Nigerian powerhouses Wizkid and Ayra Starr, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, and Mehran Matin’s “Hope & Love,” etc…

It’s déjà vu from her 2024 Grammy breakout, where she first toppled the same Nigerian contenders. Tyla’s reign rolls on.
