Davido, Chioma set to sue cyberbullies over vicious attacks

Nigerian music mogul Davido and his wife Chioma are gearing up for legal battles against online trolls, according to close associate Ubi Franklin.

The music executive and longtime collaborator dropped a bombshell on X, exposing screenshots from a WhatsApp group called “TSM Lovers” - seemingly a fan page for Sophia Momodu.

The leaked chats reveal shocking claims, including accusations that Chioma used “love charms” to snag Davido, plus cruel jabs at the tragic loss of her child.

Franklin vowed swift action, signaling zero tolerance for the toxic harassment targeting the couple amid their high-profile romance.

“Yes. David was under love charm from Chioma and one thing people don’t know is whatever wrong you do, it backfires. That innocent boy’s death was too suspicious of many wrong doings but many people don’t know what the mother must have put her eyes into,” the message reads.

The messages, according to reports, also contained remarks about Folasade Adeleke, Davido’s cousin, with some members using derogatory language to describe her.

Franklin described those behind the messages as “evil, wicked and bitter,” criticising them for deliberately creating platforms to bully Chioma.

“You know people are evil right? The message I see on this group chat is just. And then people say humans aren’t wicked or bitter,” he wrote.

“Imagine having enough time and energy to create groups just to bully a woman who has done absolutely nothing to you. Chioma is not anyone’s problem and she is not in anyone’s business.”

He warned that those involved would be made to answer to law enforcement, adding that the family is prepared to pursue legal action.

“One after the other, you will explain to the law enforcement what Chef chi has done to all of you, just keep opening groups to bully her, her Husband, Me as her manager and the entire family has your time now and we will follow the rules and you will be served,” he wrote.

Davido and Sophia, the mother of his daughter Imade, have been involved in a legal dispute over the child’s custody.

Recently, Sophia’s lawyer filed a suit against the singer over alleged harassment, cyberbullying, and threats to her life, the report concludes.
