Nigeria’s D’Tigress wrapped up their US tour on a challenging note, dropping a 105–57 exhibition decision to the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.

The lopsided scoreline belied the value of the matchup, as the world No. 8 side went toe-to-toe with elite talent like Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, gaining invaluable reps against high-octane offense.

Veteran point guard Ezinne Kalu orchestrated the floor with her sharp playmaking, while forward Elizabeth Balogun battled relentlessly on the glass.

Though the Fever’s firepower proved overwhelming, D’Tigress showed grit in testing their defensive schemes under pressure.

The outing fits perfectly into head coach Rena Wakama’s blueprint: honing edges ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. These tough lessons against top-tier pros will sharpen Nigeria’s claws for the global stage, no doubt.
