Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke, the younger sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, following an intelligence-led operation on Saturday evening.
The trio was recovered at about 7:30 p.m. on June 6, 2026, after being abducted in Ibadan on the morning of Wednesday, June 3. Security sources said the operation targeted the location where the victims were being held and led to their successful recovery.
Two of the suspected abductors were reportedly killed during the rescue operation, according to some accounts. Authorities said extensive security measures remain in place in the corridor where the victims had been detained as investigations continue.
The Nigeria Police Force has not yet released a full statement detailing the operation, the number of suspects involved, or the condition of the rescued victims.
