Mrs. Patience Oyekunle, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and Chairperson of the NLNG Local Content Committee (LCC), visited the Train 7 Project site at the NLNG Bonny Plant to review progress and assess the project’s readiness.
The visit provided an opportunity for the LCC chair to gain firsthand insight into ongoing construction, procurement and local-content activities tied to the expansion.
During the site tour, Mrs. Oyekunle met with the Train 7 Project leadership and technical team.
Present were Dagogo Buowari, Manager, Nigerian Content Development; Ali Uwais, Project Director, Train 7 Project; and Tolulope Longe, Manager, Contracts, Procurement & Materials.
The discussions focused on project milestones, readiness for commissioning, and the integration of Nigerian companies and workforce in critical project scopes.
The visit underscores the Ministry’s oversight role and commitment to ensuring that the Train 7 expansion adheres to national local-content policies while meeting safety and schedule benchmarks.
NLNG and project managers briefed the delegation on timelines and measures in place to achieve operational readiness.
